We are pleased to announce the dates we will be at Keynsham Abbey in 2025.
Our volunteers will be at Keynsham Abbey every other Saturday afternoon from 2pm (weather permitting), starting on Saturday 15th March. A full list of dates is set out at the end of this blog.
In addition to our regular working parties there will be a special volunteers’ day on Saturday 10th May. This will be an opportunity for those who are thinking about volunteering or who would like to find out more about what our volunteers do to come along and get more information. If you want to come along for a chat or to volunteer for the afternoon and see if it’s something you’d like to do more often, then just turn up between 2pm and 5pm. We are not just looking for volunteers to help with gardening and maintenance (though they are always welcome), but also to help behind the scenes with social media, grant applications, general admin, and research.
On the 13th and 20th September, we will be hosting open days under the Heritage Open Days Scheme. On these dates we will focus on the Abbey’s amazing history and there will be a guided talk. More details will be available nearer the time.
Visitors are welcome on any occasion we are at the Abbey. We are happy to chat about the remains and our work as volunteers and there is information about the Abbey’s history available. If you are interested in visiting as a group, then please send a message via the contact page and we’ll be happy to make arrangements.
