The Twelve Knitted Monks of Christmas

For the first time this year, we were delighted to take part in the biennial Christmas Tree Festival held at St John’s Church in Keynsham from 5–7 December 2025. Our tree featured a charming and creative display by one of our wonderful volunteers — and chief knitter — Lin, who lovingly knitted 12 miniature monks. Each monk was accompanied by a caption illustrating a different moment in their daily routine, bringing both character and storytelling to our tree.

In total, around 50 beautifully decorated trees filled the church, all created by organisations from across the Keynsham area. The scent of fresh pine, combined with the festive lights, colour, and creativity, made for a truly magical display and a perfect way to celebrate the Christmas season.
