The Twelve Knitted Monks of Christmas
For the first time this year, we were delighted to take part in the biennial Christmas Tree Festival held at St John’s Church in Keynsham from 5–7 December 2025 . Our tree featured a charming and creative display by one of our wonderful volunteers — and chief knitter — Lin, who lovingly knitted 12 miniature monks. Keynsham Abbey at the Town’s Winter Festival
On Saturday 29th November, along with other stalls as part of Keynsham Winter Festival we set up our Keynsham Abbey table, in the local Baptist Church rooms. The crowds flocked around to see our scale model of the abbey including push button lights to show various parts of the model. People were awed at the original size of the ancient building and sad that so much has now disappeared. We were pleased with the response having counted 186 interactions with people of all ages.
